Psychotherapist, LPC
Ariel Schochet, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of New Jersey (LPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a New Jersey State Certified School Counselor. He brings years of experience from his various experiences in the mental health field. While completing his MS in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University in 2008, Ariel fulfilled his field experience requirements at a MICA (Mental Illness, Chemical Abuse) clinic and working with teenagers in a prevention program for at-risk students. Ariel served with distinction as a therapist at Jewish Family Services of Greater Clifton-Passaic. He was also an associate guidance counselor at the Jewish Educational Center’s Yeshiva of Elizabeth elementary school. Ariel serves on the review board for the ACA VISTAS online journal, as well as a reviewer for the NBCCF (National Board of Certified Counselors Foundation) Graduate School Scholarship Essay contest. Finally, Ariel is a trained PAIRS Foundation pre-marriage workshop presenter, facilitated by the S.H.A.L.O.M. Workshop (a subsidiary of the SHALOM Task Force, www.shalomworkshop.org) .
